The Minority Health Outreach Program at the health department was put together to involve community members interested in helping minority populations in our four counties.
Our Mission
Our core mission is to promote access to health programs and information to minority communities. We accomplish this by
Events
Setting up at events in minority population areas in our 4 counties.
Meetings
Attending meetings related to Minority Outreach (example: NAACP Shelby County).
Education
Educating community members on the Health Dept. programs and sharing health education information to debunk myths and misinformation in the community.
