Minority Health Outreach

The Minority Health Outreach Program at the health department was put together to involve community members interested in helping minority populations in our four counties.

Our core mission is to promote access to health programs and information to minority communities. We accomplish this by:

  • Setting up at events in minority population areas in our 4 counties
  • Attending meetings related to Minority Outreach (example: NAACP Shelby County)
  • Educating community members on the Health Dept. programs and sharing health education information to debunk myths and misinformation in the community.
