The North Central District Health Department leadership has redesigned and streamlined the district’s mission and vision to incorporate a more population-based healthcare approach and better fit the direction of Kentucky’s new Public Health Transformation model.

The district’s new mission – Provide innovative, diverse, and inclusive population-based public health as a leader through education, disease prevention, regulation adherence and communicable disease control – defines its purpose as it moves forward.

The mission statement describes the North Central District’s fundamental purpose and will help guide us as we strive to meet our vision – Optimal health for the communities of the North Central District – Henry, Shelby, Spencer and Trimble counties
